COLD EMAIL — READ THIS PROPERLY

We will not promise you the inbox.

What we will give you is the machinery that decides whether you deserve it: sixteen verification providers, an IP warm-up engine, authentication checked in-app, and an automatic stop when complaints climb. Sending here is governed by our acceptable use policy and by your sending provider's terms. If you are buying scraped lists, this is not the platform for you.

THE HONEST BIT FIRST

Nobody sells you inbox placement. They sell you hope.

You have read the landing pages. Ninety-something per cent to the primary tab. A number with a decimal point in it, followed by no methodology. Anyone quoting you an inbox rate is quoting you a figure they cannot control, because the decision is made by Google, Microsoft and Yahoo — using signals about you.

So here is the position. Deliverability is a consequence of your list and your behaviour. We can give you the tools that shape both, and we can stop you before you do real damage. We cannot make a bad list good, and we will not pretend otherwise on a webpage.

this platform is not for you if
You bought or scraped the list and the recipients have no idea who you are.
You are planning to rotate domains to outrun a complaint rate.
You want a tool that will look the other way when the bounce rate is 22%.
You need someone to guarantee an inbox percentage in writing.
You are sending to people who cannot lawfully be contacted in their jurisdiction.

We would rather say this now than take your money and suspend you in week two.

START WITH THE LIST

Verification is not optional. It is the whole first move.

Sixteen verification providers are built into CleverlyBox — ZeroBounce, Kickbox, Emailable, NeverBounce, DeBounce, Reoon and others. You clean the list inside the platform that holds it, before a single message leaves. This is the step that separates outreach from spraying.

Illustrative. What comes out depends entirely on what went in.

01 / IN PLACE

No export, no upload, no third CSV

The verification runs against the list where it already lives. You are not moving data between vendors and losing track of which version is current.

02 / SEGMENTABLE

Verification status is a segment operator

Once verified, the status is a condition you can build a segment on. Send only to verified addresses. It is a checkbox, not a discipline you have to remember.

03 / SIXTEEN PROVIDERS

Bring the one you already trust

If you have credits and an opinion — ZeroBounce, Kickbox, Emailable, NeverBounce, DeBounce, Reoon — connect it. If you have neither, pick one and get on with it.

An exponential ramp. A linear one is also available. The point is that neither of them starts at full volume.

SENDER REPUTATION

Ramp slowly. Authenticate properly. Stop when it turns.

A new sending domain that fires 40,000 messages on its first morning has told every mailbox provider exactly what it is. The warm-up engine ramps volume — linear or exponential — so the reputation is built rather than assumed.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC are generated and verified inside the app; you see green before the send, not after the bounce report. And if bounce or complaint rates spike mid-campaign, sending pauses automatically. That is not a feature we added for you. It is one we added for everyone else on the platform, and you benefit from it too.

THE RULES

What governs your sending, plainly stated.

Two things bind you here, and you should know both before you sign up rather than after.

01 / OUR POLICY

The CleverlyBox acceptable use policy

It applies to every account, on every plan, including the free one. Purchased, scraped and harvested lists are not permitted. Neither is sending to people who have no idea why they are hearing from you. If your account is generating complaints, we act on it.

02 / YOUR PROVIDER'S TERMS

Whoever actually carries the mail

If you route through your own sending provider — Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, SparkPost, Elastic Email or another — their terms apply to you as well, in full. Two sets of rules, both live. Our platform cannot exempt you from theirs.

03 / BEFORE THE SEND

The banned-word check runs automatically

Content is scanned against a banned-word list before a campaign leaves. A blacklist is enforced. These are pre-send checks, not post-mortem reports, and they are on by default.

04 / THE UNSUBSCRIBE

One click, to spec

RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe is implemented. Someone who wants out gets out, immediately, without a form and without a login. That is required by the mailbox providers now, and it is the right thing anyway.

IF YOU DO IT PROPERLY

Then the rest of the platform is yours.

Outreach done honestly — to people with a genuine reason to hear from you, on a list you verified — is just email marketing with a colder start. And the same machinery applies.

Plain-text campaigns, which often behave better than a heavy template. A/B tests across five subject lines with the winner chosen on open or click rate. Automation flows that stop chasing the moment someone replies to the click. Per-recipient logs so you know exactly what happened. And a bill priced on the software, not on the size of the list.

QUESTIONS

Straight answers.

Can I send cold email on CleverlyBox?

You can send outreach to people you have a lawful and legitimate reason to contact, on a list you have verified, in line with our acceptable use policy and — if you route through your own provider — their terms as well. What you cannot do is send to a purchased or scraped list. That is not a stylistic preference; it is the line.

What inbox rate will I get?

We do not quote one, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does. Placement is decided by the mailbox providers based on your list quality, your authentication, your volume ramp and your complaint rate. We give you the tools that move all four. We do not control the outcome.

What happens if my complaint rate goes up?

Sending pauses automatically when bounce or complaint rates spike. That protects your domain, and it protects every other sender on the platform. If the pattern continues, we will look at the account — which is exactly what a platform that cares about deliverability should do.

Do you check my content before it goes out?

A banned-word check runs against campaign content before the send, and a blacklist is enforced. It is a pre-send guardrail, not a guarantee of anything — good copy is still your job.

Should I warm up a new sending domain?

Yes, and the engine is built in. Choose a linear or exponential ramp and volume increases over time rather than starting at the top. Combined with SPF, DKIM and DMARC verified in-app, that is the boring, unglamorous work that actually determines whether your mail arrives.

Clean list. Warm domain. No promises.

If that sounds like the way you already work, you will get on with this well.
